We got some yak steaks and sausage from BSY a month or so ago. We finally tried the steaks yesterday. I was stunned that they tasted so much like beef, were tender and cut very easily. I was expecting they would be more dry and dense, like Elk or Moose meat. I guess they don't get much "exercise", because they were like veal.
Also, my wife makes a great marinade from Teriyaki/Ginger sauce with lots of garlic, onions, and sesame in it. It was delicious. We could give you the recipe, if you want!
